M&M's
Give each of your students a bag of fun-sized M&M's. In small groups, have each student pull out a piece of candy, one at a time, and share some information based on what the color represents. After some time of this, have each small group come to the front of the class one at a time and introduce another group member using the information they just learned.
The picture on the left can be used as the chart for each color, or you can come up with your own.

People Finder Sheet
Make a list of qualifications for your students for example, “Who can speak another
language?” or “Who plays and instrument?” With the list of questions the
students need to seek out these people with the qualifications and have them initial the
sheet until it is full. They can only use a student’s initials once per sheet

Venn Diagram of People
Divide students into groups of three or four. Give each group a large sheet of butcher paper and a different color marker for each person. Have them draw a Venn diagram with an oval for each student. The students in each group are to discuss what their similarities and differences are. After the discussion, they are to fill in the diagram showing their similarities and differences. If a group has a hard time getting started, give them some guidance by asking questions such as, "What is your favorite music?", "When is your birthday?", "What sports do you like?, or "Where were you born?"
Two Truths One Lie
This icebreaker simply involves each student telling 2 truths and 1 lie and the class attempting to guess what their lie is. These can be written on index cards and have one used each day as an opening activity for the class.

Ball Toss
I used this ice breaker as a camp counselor. Using a big ball such as a beach ball put questions on it such as, "What is your favorite color?" throughout the ball.
Throw the ball to students and whatever question their right thumb is on they have to answer. Emphasize the need for everyone to receive the ball at least twice.

Toliet Paper Facts
Students rip off sheets of toilet paper when entering classroom. For each sheet of toilet paper, the student must tell a fact about themselves.

Blow Wind Blow!
For this icebreaker game you'll need to set up your chairs in a circle facing inwards. Make sure there is one less chair than there are players.
Select one player to start off in the middle. They must begin by calling out "Blow wind blow". The rest of the group must respond "blow what?" Then the middle player can say some kind of conditional statement like "everyone with red hair" or "everyone not wearing shoes". All the players that fit into that category must get up and switch chairs with another player. This allows a chance for the middle player to steal a chair also. Once everyone has finished switching as quickly as possible, there will be one player left stuck in the middle. Then the process repeats!
